How Do I Keep Skupos Sync Active?

💡 Tip! An active connection is necessary to ensure your store receives monthly payments. Without one, Skupos cannot collect the data required by retailers to send your store(s) payments.

What is needed to submit scan data

Skupos relies on three things to be able to submit your scan data:

  1. Scanning your products at the register

  2. Connection between your POS and back-office computer

    • Make sure no one is unplugging the laptop!

      • Why? An unplugged laptop cannot be connected to sync!

  3. Internet connection on your back office computer.

    • If you have problems with wifi in the store, Sync will have problems too.


How to change your sleep settings

If your computer is asleep, you compromise Sync. We recommend turning the sleep mode off, to avoid missing monthly payments.

  1. Open the Start menu on your computer and search for, "Sleep"

  2. This should return the "Power and Sleep" settings or "Power" options

  3. Next, you'll navigate to the "advanced settings" and make sure to change all the sleep settings to, "never", as shown in the video below

⛔ Alert: Make sure you contact Skupos Support if anything in the store changes.

  • New hardware or repairs inside the store where wires are moved can cause disconnections.

What does Skupos need to submit my scan data?

  • 3 simple things!

    1. Your cashiers scanning applicable products at the register.

    2. A connection between your POS and back-office computer.

      • Make sure no one is unplugging the laptop.

      • An unplugged laptop cannot be connected to sync.

    3. An active internet connection on your back-office computer

      • If you have problems with wifi in the store, Sync will have problems too.

Why does it matter if my computer is asleep?

  • When your computer is asleep, your POS cannot send transaction files and Skupos Sync cannot collect them.

    • This means your store is not set up to provide the data necessary to receive monthly payments.

How often should I check my Skupos Dashboard to make sure my Sync is online?

  • We recommend checking once a week, on Mondays.

  • Log into your Skupos Dashboard at https://go.skupos.com/

  • Look on your home page to confirm that all your stores are online.

In the example below, this store is not live in (5) of their stores for scan data or (3) of their stores for scan data. Meaning none of their sites are online.
