    • Scan Data Base Incentive: Ongoing incentive payment for each tobacco transaction submitted in the scan data file.

    • Consistent Loyalty ID Promotional Fund: Ongoing incentive payment for submitting consistent loyalty ID’s in the scan data file.

What is Scan Data?

  • Scan Data is a program in which Skupos submits transaction data to tobacco partners to unlock incentive payments and brand-funded, multi-unit discounts for our retailers.

What is Engage

  • Engage is Skupos’ loyalty platform.

  • Engage enables retailers to offer brand-fund loyalty promotions on tobacco and other consumer packaged goods.

What if I do not meet the technology requirements to participate in Altria programs?

  • If you have not purchased Skupos Scan Data or Engage, reach out to our Sales team at 1-800-559-1358 option 2.

Can I stack Altria incentive programs?

  • Yes!

  • Retailers participating in Altria’s Digital Trade Program can stack their incentive payments and customer promotions to increase their overall benefit.

  • See the Tier 3 example below:

    • Total Incentive Payment = Scan Data Base Incentive + Consistent Loyalty ID Incentive + ATC21+ Data Incentive + Email Marketing Incentive + EAIV Enrollment Incentive + Digital Data Submission Incentive.

    • Total Promotion = Multi-Unit Promotion + LFP Promotion + Retail Digital Coupon + Personalization+ Promotion.

This sounds great, how do I sign up or enroll in Altria programs?

  • The first step is to talk to your Altria representative.

    • Once they approve your store(s) click here to learn what you will need to do to enroll.

How do I qualify for each tier?

  • Tier qualification is determined by Altria.

  • If you are unsure of which tier you qualify for, please contact your Altria representative.

How much money should I expect to receive?

  • It depends on several factors such as which tier you participate in and your overall tobacco volume.

When will I be able to participate in offers?

  • Once you (and your Altria Rep!) complete all those steps you will be ready to participate in the next cycle.

How do I encourage my store customers to participate in these offers?

  • Hang signage.

    • Don’t have signage? Talk with your Altria representative, as that is done independent of Skupos.

  • Train your clerks.

If I am Tier 2 or Tier 3, why do I need to use the Retaildiscountnetwork.com app?

  • Per your contract terms and conditions with Altria, the only way to get Tier 2 pricing on products is to use the Retail Discount Network coupon app.

How can I make sure the app is working for my store?

  • Test it out in your store! Go to Retaildiscountnetwork.com and follow the steps to get signed up.

  • Then make a purchase to see if it’s working.

    • You will need to sign up for a Tobacco brand but once your account is created, sign-in is easy with a PIN.

What happens if I do not open a coupon on Retail Discount Network every month?

  • If you do not open a coupon on the app every month, you will not be able to offer the increased Tier 2 tobacco Loyalty rates.

How do I get signed up to be on the app?

  • Talk with your Altria representative about becoming a Tier 2 store and how you can use the Retail Discount Network at your location.

I was sent something to fill out by my Altria representative to get on the app, can you help?

  • No.

  • Please contact your Altria representative for assistance on signing up to be on the Retail Discount Network.

Does this app only work for my store/chain?

  • No.

  • The Retail Discount Network app provides coupons to all stores on Tier 2 /Tier 3 under Altria’s DTP program

What is P+?

  • P+ offers include offers specific to a consumer’s loyalty ID based on the purchase history tied to that loyalty ID.

What makes P+ different from the other tiers?

  • Personalized offers are custom to a consumer’s buying behavior.

  • Consumers must enter a phone number at the register.

What is IRi (Circana)?

  • IRi has been rebranded as Circana.

  • Circana is a data company that partners with Altria to process their scan data files.

What is the InsightsC3M portal?

  • The InsightsC3M portal is a third-party platform that helps Altria remain compliant with tobacco regulations.

  • Altria uses this portal to manage documents related to data sharing.
