What is Sync?
Sync is a Skupos software you need to partner with Skupos.
Sync Software connects to your point-of-sale system so Skupos can review your t-log data.
This allows Skupos to review your scan data to award customers discounts and tobacco companies scan files, so your store(s) can receive reimbursements or monthly payments.
This is proprietary Skupos software that we install on a retailer’s back-office computer or Managed Network router.

What are the (2) different options for Sync?
Cloud Sync
This means your POS/back-office software connects to Skupos automatically, through Wifi.
This type of Sync is preferred because it minimizes downtime, reduces system failures, eliminates data loss, requires less labor, enhances security, and represents the future of Skupos technology.
Why does this matter?
If you are offline and we don’t have that t-log data, your store won’t provide the data necessary to receive monthly payments.
Do you qualify for Cloud Sync?
This is only feasible for clients with Paysafe, Cybera 325, and Mako as their point-of-sale systems.

2. Desktop Sync
This means your POS/back-office software connects to Skupos automatically, through web portal.
This option is less reliable because it can go offline if your computer goes to sleep, if your store upgrades the register or router, or if new equipment or cables are unplugged.
This is why we recommend you log into your Skupos dashboard once a week, to confirm everything is working as expected.
