TeamViewer is the 3rd Party program we use to access customer’s back office computer for technical support regarding our software.
It is a simple, easy-to-use program that should have been downloaded when we first set up our software.
If you run into any issues using TeamViewer, we are here to help! Check out the common issues and resolutions below.
Issue # 1-I can’t find my TeamViewer
TeamViewer should be downloaded on your computer. It usually will sit as an icon on your desktop, a blue square with a white circle inside of it with two blue arrows. You can also search your computer for “TeamViewer” in the bottom left corner of your computer screen. If you cannot find the application, you can go to their webpage and download the Free Version for Personal Use. https://www.teamviewer.us/
Issue # 2-My TeamViewer doesn’t show an ID or Password?
Hmm. That might mean you simply have the wrong version of TeamViewer. Remember, we need at least Version 14.
Make sure you have the correct version. If not, head to their website to download the newest version.
Pro Tip: If you TeamViewer doesn't look similar to the picture below, you may have the wrong version.
Issue #3-Why is my TeamViewer password not showing?
If the TeamViewer ID is populated but there is no password, this can be generated by selecting Extras > Options > Security > and selecting the drop down menu for Password Strength.
Once you select a password strength and hit save you should see a password appear on your home screen.
Issue #4-TeamViewer not accepting incoming connections.
To solve this issue navigate to Extras > Options > Advanced > Advanced settings for connections to this computer. Change the Access Control to Full Access.
Issue #5- TeamViewer will only allow limited mouse control.
If you are unable to give control or have restricted ability to offer access to Skupos support in TeamViewer follow the same steps as Issue #4. navigate to Extras > Options > Advanced > Advanced settings for connections to this computer. Change the Access Control to Full Access.
Issue #6- TeamViewer is Blacklisting a connection.
To solve this navigate in your TeamViewer full version to Extras > Options > Security >Black and White list > Click on Configure.
Choose to Allow access to the following partner and enter the email address of the incoming connection.
To remove partners from the Blacklist or White list by choose either Deny access for the following partners (Blacklist) or Allow access only for the following partner (Whitelist). Now click on the partners you would like to remove and finally click Remove then ok.
