At Skupos we make enrolling in your Scan Data programs easier. When you are live in a scan data program, you will want to set up your Verifone Commander to offer eligible discounts. Follow this guide for help with setting up discounts like multi pack and multi can. 

Stop! Read First!

Make sure that your tobacco representative has given you the okay to offer discounts before setting them up. Failure to do so can result in money lost!

Do not use PLU Modifiers. 073100008764/002
If you're using PLU Modifiers, please remove them. Failure to do so can result in incorrect reporting.

If you already have deals set up in a Back Office software, please do not set up deals in your Commander. Contact your back office provider for information on how to set up discounts.

How to Set Up Discounts

Step 1:

Log in to your Petroleum C-Store and navigate to the Promos and Discounts tab.

Step 2: 

From Promos and Discounts select NAXML Deal. This is where you will set up your mix and match deal.

Step 3:

In the tab Item List Maintenance you will enter the PLU's that are eligible for promotion you are setting up. Pro Tip: We suggest grabbing 2-3 items to enter first, confirming it works, then entering the rest. 

Step 4:

Click Add to create a new Item List. Name your list and assign a list number.
In the box next to Item List ID assign any number that hasn't been used in a previous list. In the box next to Description name the list Marlboro Mix and Match. 

Step 5: 

Select List Type “PLU”. Add the 2-3 eligible PLU’s* in the box below Included Items.

*Verifone recognizes the short PLU code in Item List Maintenance. This means you need to enter the code in as follows:

Example: Copenhagen LC Wintergreen  07387614 should be entered as “738761”. 

After entering the PLU, hit “Tab” on your keyboard to populate the full UPC. After hitting “Tab” a yellow file folder or black X will appear. 

Yellow file folder = the PLU was found in the Verifone and the discount will work.

Black X = the PLU was not found in the Verifone and the discount will not work.

Pro Tip: If you receive an x instead of a yellow folder please double check that the PLU is in your system. Try re-entering or scanning the PLU. The x indicates that the system does not recognize the PLU and the discount will not be applied properly.

Step 6:

 Time to add the Mix & Match Discount. Continued below.

Step 6 cont: 

Select Add and create a new Mix&Match. Time to name your Mix Match and assign it a number. In the box next to Mix Match ID assign any number that hasn't been used in a previous Mix Match. In the box next to Description name the list Marlboro Mix and Match. 

Week day availability-Start Date Time and End Date Time should be set to 00:00-00:00 for both. All days of the week should have the box checked. This means the deal runs whenever you are open. If you want to restrict the time it is available you can change hours here.

Item List-Assign the PLU’s you want this deal to apply to by selecting the Item list you just created in the Item List Maintenance tab. 

Package Pricing Configuration-Add the discount amount. First, under Pricing Type, select Amount off Package Price. Select Add New and enter the Quantity and Package Price. Hit Save.

For example: Buy 2 packs get $0.50 off would be entered as Quantity 2 Package Price $0.50

Step 7:

 Navigate to Tools and select Refresh Configuration. Time to do a test transaction with the PLU’s entered. Head over to your register and scan 2 of the packs you entered.

Now that you have set up your deal you can start offering promotions!
